Sixth grade lesson and homework plan for week of Dec. 15, 2014

 Introduce the Bible verse – Isaiah 9:6.  Play ball game working on words of verse.  Read an article to students that is hard to believe.  Talk about the news that the angels sent that was hard to believe.  Do Directed Instruction on pg. 198 dividing students into groups of four. 
Homework:  Practice memory verse for test on Thursday.

Do Introduction pg. 200.  Read Luke 2:1 – 7.  Divide into groups, each group taking one character of the Christmas story.  Write what their character must have thought as they experienced the angel visit as well as during their trip to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus.  Come back together and act out the Christmas story. 
Homework:  Study Bible verse for tomorrow’s test.

Homework:  Begin studying for verse test on Friday.

 Divide the students into four groups.  Complete directed Instruction pg. 116 T.E. with the students, having them act out what happened at each place that Paul preached.
