Sixth grade lesson and homework plan for week of Feb. 9, 2015

Introduce Bible verse – Galatians 3: 13 – 14.  Divide into six groups.  Have students pantomime present day activities vs. olden day activities.  Which are easier?  Discuss the “old” Law versus the “new” way of living in Christ.  Do directed instruction pg. 220.

Discuss cause and effect.  Read Gal. 5: 16 – 18.  What is the effect of living life in Christ?  Divide into 9 groups – Have each make a fruit and attach their assigned fruit to it.  Role play how that fruit manifests itself.  Let class try to guess what their fruit is. 
Homework:  Study for Bible verse test tomorrow. 

                                   

Take Bible verse test on Gal. 3: 13 – 14.  Introduce next week’s verse – Ephesians 4: 4-6.  Divide the room in halves.  Have students stand on the Godly side, or flesh-driven life as different acts are described.  Choose where you would like your life to be centered.
