Sixth grade lesson and homework plan for 3/2/15

 Review last week’s verse by playing a Baseball game.  Introduce this week’s verses – Phil. 2:4-5.  Discuss Paul’s situation as he was writing to the Philippians.  Do D.I. pg. 244 (T.E.)  Contrast the life of Paul and King Ahab – workbook pg. 81.  Who was truly content?
Homework: Study for Bible verse test on Friday.

Do unity activity on pg. 246 – introduction. 
Do Directed Instruction having students look up verses and discussing them.  Do illustration with Christmas lights. 
Homework:  Practice a random act of kindness today – either at school or home.    
                                   

Play game as instructed in Introduction pg. 248.  Do Directed Instruction and then conclude with the extension activity pg. 248. 
What are some things in our lives that the Lord values more than our “Worldly Accomplish-ments”?
Homework: Prepare for Bible verse test on Phil. 2:4 – 5. 
Friday Sing!
Take Bible verse test.  Update prayer requests.  Write about your random acts of kindness experience.  What happened?  How did you feel?
