Sixth grade lesson and homework plan for week of Mar. 9, 2015

 Introduce the verse – I Corinthians 12: 24B – 26.  Discuss how that verse applies to our class.  Update prayer requests. Do Introduction pg. 256.  Have students complete BLM 22A by looking up the verses in their Bibles. 
Homework:  Begin memorizing our theme verse. 
Chapel
Words –Have students look up pseduo and nym on a device.  Talk about the importance of our words.  Going back to the Latin and Greek, complete BLM 22B.  Discuss answers in class. How do the words in the Bible describe Jesus? 
No homework. 

                                   

Discuss clothing.  Have students suggest types of clothing that would not fit in at certain locations or occasions.  Bring in two shirts, one with positive words and the other with negative.  Do Directed Instruction pg. 260 using the two shirts. 
Homework:  Study for Bible verse test tomorrow. 
Friday Sing.
Do Bible verse test on I Corinthians 12:  24B – 26.  Update prayer requests.  Do Introduction pg. 262.  Describe how anger and distrust can affect people around you.  In small groups, complete BLM 22C.  Discuss answers.
