Sixth grade lesson and homework plan for week of Feb. 2, 2015

 Introduce the Bible verse – I Corinthians 8:7 – 8.  Update Bible verses.  Do block building activity suggested in Introduction.  Read through D.I. with students (pg. 208) What hindered Paul’s ministry?  Using devices, research the ancient city of Corinth. 
Homework:  Bring in one website talking about ancient Corinth.  Due Wednesday. 
Chapel

In groups of four, using the information that you brought in from the internet, write an on-the-scenes report of what you would observe in ancient Corinth.  We will share those reports tomorrow.
Homework:  Finish reports for tomorrow.  

                                 

Students may orally say their Bible verse.  Share your report about Corinth.  Why was it hard for Paul to minister there? Complete Introduction pg. 210.  What kind of impact can a godly person have in a very evil world? 
Homework:  Study Bible verse for tomorrow. 
Friday Sing!
Take Bible verse test on I Corinthians 8: 7 – 8.  Introduce next week’s verse – Galatians 3: 13 – 14.  Use an umbrella to demonstrate God’s protection.  Read D.I. pg. 214.
