8:10- 8:50 Bible	Memorial Day Holiday No School	Chapel	Introduce this week’s verse – James 3:13.  Update prayer requests. Introduce topic – Favoritism.  Do Directed Instruction pg. 352 having students fill out BLM 30A.  Discuss what if felt like to be favored over others and how it felt if you weren’t.  Homework:  Memorize verse for Friday.	Say Bible verse aloud if ready.  Read BLM 30B.  Talk about how words can injure a person.  Do Directed Instruction pg. 354, dividing the class into four groups.  As a group, make up a skit showing the proper response to unkind words.  Perform your skit for the class.  Homework:  Study for Bible verse test tomorrow	Friday Sing!  Write memory verse.  Introduce next week’s verse – II Peter 1: 5-7.  Update prayer requests.  Write three questions on board and have students write answers to them.  Do Directed Instruction reading through James four.  Write cause and effect statements found in this chapter.  No homework

Go over test from yesterday.  Play partner challenge – First pair of students to complete lesson #96 correctly wins a prize.  Homework:  Complete lesson #96 for Monday if not completed in class.
