Instruct students to bring colored pencils to class.  Give each student a printout of John 14:16 -19 and 15:26.  Using the colored pencils, define certain aspects of the Holy Spirit in these verses – Directed Instruction pg. 78.

Optional:  Say the memory verse orally.  Begin with group activity on Introduction section of pg. 80.  Then complete Black line master 7A using the groupings suggested on pg. 80.  Talk about the importance of having other people to help us. 
Homework:  Study for test tomorrow on memory verse.
Friday Sing,  Update prayer requests.  Write in journal on how your life has been changed because of Jesus. Take memory verse test on John 14:26. Introduce next week’s verse – Acts 1:8.  Play “Who am I” using extension activity on 4A.  Have student try to identify the person whose life was changed by his/her encounter with Jesus.

History – Read about the Great Awakening in America.  (pgs. 117 – 121). 
Homework:  Questions pg. 121 due tomorrow.
